practical information for staying in the dark

  • the interior of the room, measuring 7×3m, is made entirely of wood, furnished for a year-round stay. A separate entrance hall is used for delivering food and messages.
  • modest natural equipment (bed, sheet, pillow and duvet with linen, table, chair, armchair, shelf for personal belongings, running water from own well, sink, shower with warm water, chemical toilet, space for exercise or meditation, mat for exercise, pencil and notes, Tibetan bowl)
  • electrical energy (heating, ventilation)
  • the possibility of using individual care and counseling (necessary to make an appointment before the start of the stay)
  • the diet is lacto-vegetarian, the diet can be adjusted according to individual needs
  • we recommend for your stay: comfortable clothes, natural cosmetics, towel, slippers, personal strength items, notebook, pencil/crayons, musical instrument
  • do not take with you: chemical hygiene products, cigarettes, alcohol, mobile phone and other electronics

The minimum length of stay is 3 nights. Arrival on the day of boarding from 13:00 to 15:00. The afternoon is intended for landing, calming down, familiarizing yourself with the room area and the conditions of stay, a conversation with the caretaker and, if necessary, based on a previous request, a conversation with the guide. The stay in the dark begins in the evening at a time of your choice.

Inform your loved ones about the time of staying in the dark and give them our contact in case of need for serious reasons. Staying in the dark can be ended at any time – the house is still open. Before departure, please hand over the space to the caretaker in person.

On the day of departure, please leave the room by 11 a.m. We recommend leaving 1 day after the end of your stay to integrate the experience and return to a regular daily rhythm. Before and after your stay in the dark, you can stay in the Sklenářka area or in the surrounding nature, you can book an extra night in free rooms.
